BIG 1-98 trial published in New England Journal of Medicine.
An article presenting the results from the BIG 1-98 trial has been published in the August 20, 2009 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine (link only for members. This paper presents the first results of the sequential treatment analysis, comparing patients assigned to tamoxifen followed by letrozole, and those assigned to letrozole followed by tamoxifen, with the group assigned to letrozole alone for five years. In addition, there is an update of the results of the monotherapy analysis comparing patients assigned to letrozole for five years with those assigned to tamoxifen for five years.
