Trials in the follow-up phase
Several of the IBSCG's studies are currently in the follow-up phase. This means that women who have taken part in a study continue to be followed up at certain intervals through regular visits to their doctor even after their therapy has been completed. As soon as these visits produce new findings about the treatments that have been used, the results are written up and published. This makes the new knowledge available to the entire medical community, and all women with breast cancer can benefit from the experience and results gained through treating other women.
