A landmark moment for the TILs Working Group: Three major papers from the TILs Working Group are featured in the September issue of The Lancet Oncology, reflecting years of international collaboration across pathology, oncology, biostatistics, computational science, and clinical research.
ETOP IBCSG Partners Foundation is particularly proud that the IBCSG 22-00 study contributed to CATALINA, the first large-scale, independent validation of AI-based tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) assessment across seven randomized clinical trials in triple-negative breast cancer. Computational TIL scores provided robust prognostic information even when deployed as locked models without retraining, representing a major step toward scalable and reproducible immune biomarker assessment.
A tremendous collaborative effort, made possible by the vision and leadership of Roberto Salgado, Stefan Michiels, Sherene Loi, and colleagues across the international TILs Working Group.
Congratulations to everyone involved in these remarkable studies.
